The SCC remote app is a wifi-based remote control for the Smart Charge Controller (SCC) product of Xemex. The SCC measures the grid current and controls the charge current of the EV charging station based on the station’s Dynamic Load Balancing function and a chosen charging mode. The user can select the charging mode via the user interface, which consists of an OLED display and 3 buttons. The different supported charging modes are: PV only, PV + 6A or a set GRID capacity.
The SCC remote app can detect Smart Charge Controllers installed on the local network via mDNS. Once the SCC is connected, the user can select the charging mode and/or set the requested GRID capacity for the charging station. A graph visualises the actual GRID consumption in real time to show the effect of the changed setting.
Configuration setting can be read from the app (not written), and a trigger can be sent to the SCC to update its firmware. By sending this trigger the SCC will contact an update server to download the latest firmware.
